String Orchestra: A profile
String Orchestra at CNEDMC welcomes violin, viola, cello, and double bass players who can play with open strings, up to around grade 1 standard. This group nurtures early development in ensemble music-making through engaging repertoire and collaboration with like-minded peers, creating a supportive environment for young musicians.
String Orchestra runs on Saturday mornings, 9.00-10.30am at Outwood Academy Newbold.
The ensemble offers valuable experience playing alongside others, fostering friendships and a positive atmosphere. Serving as a springboard into more senior ensembles at CNEDMC, String Orchestra provides the necessary support and focus to enable exceptional group music-making, helping students build a solid foundation for their musical journeys.
