Session Time: Saturdays, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm (during term time) – 3 hours contact time
Rate of Pay: £33 per hour
Start Date: Autumn 2026
CNEDMC is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Brass Teacher to direct our Intermediate Brass Ensemble and support the continued development of brass playing across the centre. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young brass players, develop ensemble skills, and encourage progression in a supportive and engaging musical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and direct weekly rehearsals for the Intermediate Brass Ensemble.
Develop and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Support and encourage brass playing across the wider centre, helping students to build confidence and progress musically.
Deliver high-quality and enjoyable musical experiences tailored to the needs of the ensemble and individual players.
Prepare students for performances and end-of-term concerts.
Contribute to the ongoing development and promotion of brass opportunities within the centre.
Main Requirements:
Strong brass performance skills and the ability to lead ensemble rehearsals confidently.
Ability to arrange or adapt musical parts to suit a range of abilities and instrumentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability for weekly rehearsals and end-of-term performances.
Enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply.
Experience leading ensembles is desirable but not essential, as support will be provided by our Directors of Music.
