🎶 A Memorable Afternoon of Music

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Senior Summer Recital at the iconic Crooked Spire, Chesterfield Parish Church. It was a truly special afternoon filled with outstanding performances and a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.

🌟 Stunning Venue, Beautiful Sound

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Chesterfield Parish Church, the recital made full use of the venue’s gorgeous acoustics and historic charm. The space added real depth and warmth to every performance, making it an inspiring place for both performers and audience alike.

🎵 A Rich and Varied Programme

The afternoon featured a brilliant mix of chamber music, solo performances, and small ensembles, showcasing the wide-ranging talents of our young musicians.

  • The Clarinet Choir delighted with a lively and stylish rendition of Chattanooga Choo Choo

  • The Flute Choir brought real emotional depth with their beautiful performance of She’s Leaving Home by The Beatles

  • Our soloists shone throughout, performing with confidence, musicality, and energy — from expressive melodies to technically dazzling pieces.

A big thank you to Chris Noble, whose sensitive and supportive piano accompaniment added so much to the solo performances. His musicianship helped elevate every moment on stage.

🎻 Chamber Orchestra Highlight

The event reel features a powerful performance of Huapango by Peter Martin, brought to life by our Chamber Orchestra. Their energy and precision captured the vibrant spirit of the piece and served as one of the standout moments of the afternoon.

👏 A Wonderful Celebration

The whole event had a warm and uplifting atmosphere, with supportive applause and smiles all round. It was a joy to celebrate the talent, hard work, and dedication of our young musicians in such a meaningful way.

Thank you to everyone who performed, supported, or helped make the day such a success — we’re incredibly proud of you all!
