A Special Day of Music
On Saturday, December 7th, St. John’s Church in Walton hosted two wonderful concerts that brought our community together to celebrate the end of the term. Both performances had packed audiences who enjoyed an afternoon and evening filled with music.
Debut Performances and Seasonal Tunes
All our groups took part in the concerts, with a notable debut from our guitar and ukulele group. They confidently performed three Christmas classics, adding a fresh element to the program. Their hard work and enthusiasm were clear to see.
A Showcase of Talent
The performances reflected the dedication and effort of all our musicians throughout the term. Sharing our work with family and friends was a rewarding experience, and the audience’s appreciation made it even more special. Many performers embraced the seasonal spirit with Christmas accessories, we had everything from Santa hats on double bass scrolls and flute, to sparkling antlers and Christmas ties! The decorations and lights added merriment to the occasion.
Community and Celebration
Christmas refreshments and a popular hamper raffle added to our fundraising which goes directly to supporting our young musicians, this includes purchasing sheet music, offering bursaries, developing performance opportunities etc.
Thank You
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success - performers, staff, trustees, volunteers and audience members alike. It was a memorable way to celebrate our first birthday, and we look forward to more moments like this in the future!
Merry Christmas!
